I bet you thought as you got older, you wouldn't have any dental problems...that was just for kids...


Unfortunately for us, that is a myth.  As our body goes through various physical changes during our lifetime, this also changes the balance of health in our mouth.  You can go for years of never having a cavity to finding yourself battling tooth decay from dental visit to dental visit.  We become more prone to gingivitis and periodontal disease as we age.  Other contributors to this change can be the medications you take for blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, etc.  It is extremely important to keep to regular dental visits to monitor for any of these changes.  Alternative and additional aids can be added to your homecare to help control decay and periodontal disease.
